"The Water Garden will definitely be used again. It was helpful having a visual to back up the lecture notes I use to teach the chemical cycles in nature. My students loved taking care of the betta and I liked how the seeds grew so quickly so students could see the changes in a timely fashion. The support I received from STEM Stewardship, Inc. was useful. They were helpful when I needed them, and they were hands-off when I asked for that. I want to stay with their aquaponics program longer to get more out of the relationship."

"It was a challenge to measure 23 radish sprouts clustered in one grow basket, and we had 4 baskets going at once! My students started measuring individual heights daily, but we decided as a class they should switch to calculating average height based on measurements every 3 days. Then, we were able to use this data to create and analyze graphs and simple statistics plots for growth vs. time, etc. I probably could have done the same lab activities with soil plants, but the Water Gardens made the activities much more enjoyable and novel for my students. I liked that STEM Stewardship, Inc. offered to help me keep up the tank in the off season. I will do my best to look after the fish!"
